The official website and accounts for the TOUGEN ANKI anime series have released a new trailer and visual for the upcoming TOUGEN ANKI: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc. This continuation of the series is set to premiere on October 2. Fans outside of Japan and China will be able to stream the new arc on Crunchyroll, as the platform has announced it will carry the series upon its debut.
New Music and Cast Members
The announcement also included details on the theme songs for the TOUGEN ANKI: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc. The opening theme, titled "BACKLASH," will be performed by Hiromitsu Kitayama. For the ending theme, TRACK15 will provide the song "Hand in Hand."
In addition to the music, three new cast members have been revealed. Kenichi Suzumura will voice Kusabi Momoura, Yuki Kaji is cast as Hizumi Momotsugi, and Kisho Taniyama will take on the role of Senritsu Momoo.
Manga Background
The anime is based on the TOUGEN ANKI manga, serialized by Yura Urushibara in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shonen Champion magazine. The manga currently has 30 volumes published in Japan. Yen Press publishes an English-language version of the series under the title Tougen Anki: Legend of the Cursed Blood. Ato Nonaka is directing the TV anime at Studio Hibari.
