MECHA SAMURAI Web Anime Debuts in November, Reveals Cast and Staff

An original short-form web anime, MECHA SAMURAI, has been announced and is scheduled to begin streaming in November 2026. The series will be available on YouTube, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and TikTok. Alongside the announcement, a teaser trailer was released, revealing the main staff and cast members for the upcoming anime.

The story of MECHA SAMURAI is set in modern Japan, where mysterious portals known as “Kimon” have appeared, leading to another world. These portals unleash mechanical monsters called “Yokai” that rampage and attack people. To combat this threat, an organization named “Samurai” has been formed. These Samurai wield special “katana” imbued with supernatural powers to protect the populace. The narrative follows Chiaki Kuzumi, a young Samurai who wields a katana embodying the very power of the Yokai he is sworn to defeat.

Cast and Production Details

The main cast for MECHA SAMURAI includes Kentaro Mashiro as Chiaki Kuzumi, Riona Yamashita as Sana Fujimiya, Ayumu Mizukami as Kiyoharu Obana, and Masaaki Mizunaka as Kaoru Rindo.

The production of MECHA SAMURAI is a collaboration between Plott and TV Tokyo, with Plott also handling the production and planning. The original main character designs are provided by Hiroyuki Takei, known as the creator of *Shaman King*. Graphic design for the series is handled by TO2KYO2.
