Eleceed TV Anime Delayed to April 2027, English-Subtitled Trailer Released

The official website for the television anime based on author Jeho Son and artist ZHENA's popular webtoon series, ELECEED, has announced a new premiere window of April 2027. This update comes with the release of an English-subtitled trailer, offering fans a first look at the animated adaptation. The anime was initially scheduled for a 2026 debut, as previously announced by Amuse Creative Studio.

ELECEED has garnered significant global attention since its launch in 2018, serialized in over 10 languages including English, Korean, and Japanese. The series consistently ranks as a top performer on NAVER WEBTOON's battle-action charts across North America, Asia, and Europe, boasting over 1.7 billion views worldwide.

Story and Production Details

The anime's YouTube channel describes the story as centering on high schooler Jiwoo Seo, who possesses a mysterious power and lives in fear. His life changes dramatically after he helps an injured stray cat, which turns out to be Kayden, the strongest of the "Awakened"—individuals with superhuman abilities. Transformed and unable to revert to his human form, Kayden begins living with Jiwoo, drawing them both into the intricate world of Awakened organizations and conspiracies.

The cast includes Junya Enoki as Jiwoo Seo, Tasuku Hatanaka as Wooin, Setsuji Satō as Dr. Delein, Hayato Dojima as Jisuk Yoo, and Shizuka Itō as Jiyoung Yoo. Hiroshi Nishikiori is directing the anime at DandeLion Animation Studio, with Yousuke Kuroda handling series scripts and Minami Sakura as the character designer. Additional staff members include Masato Katō, Mina Ōsawa, and Kōji Watanabe for sub-character design, Miyuki Wakai as assistant director, Minami Sakura and Masato Katō as chief animation supervisors, Yūjirō Yamane as director of photography, and Takatoshi Hamano as sound director.
