The new original video anime (OVA) for the Fairy Princess Minky Momo franchise, titled Mahō no Princess Minky Momo Akogare no Yume e Magokoro no Duo, has been delayed. The anime was originally scheduled for release on November 13, but production issues have led to an indefinite postponement. An apology was issued to fans and those involved in the production, with a promise to announce the new release date on the anime's official website and social media accounts once it is decided. Advance tickets purchased for screenings will remain valid for the new opening date.

This new OVA marks the first new animated project for the franchise in 32 years, following 1994's Minky Momo in The Station of Your Memories. The story is set in Diginarsa, a land sustained by dream energy. As human dreams and hopes diminish, Diginarsa faces collapse. To avert this, the King of Diginarsa dispatches his companions Chamocha, Dettabook, and Pipirupi to seek help from Minky Momo. The narrative follows a girl named Momo, who, upon receiving a smartphone for her 12th birthday and meeting the king's companions, awakens as Minky Momo. She resolves to save Diginarsa by collecting dream energy. However, a popular app in the city featuring children's dreams, driven by desires for recognition and viewing numbers, causes Momo to question the nature of these dreams.
