The TV anime adaptation of The Salty Koharu Has a Soft Spot for Me, known in Japan as Shiotaio no Sato-san ga Ore ni Dake Amai, is scheduled to premiere on October 6, 2026. This announcement was accompanied by the release of a new trailer and a key visual for the series, providing fans with a fresh look at the upcoming anime.

Further details regarding the opening and ending theme songs have also been revealed. Masayoshi Oishi will perform the opening theme, titled "Sugar Salt." The ending theme, "Hatsukoi Replay" (First Love Replay), will be performed by HoneyWorks feat. Sara Hoshikawa. These musical additions aim to set the tone for the series' narrative.

Production and Source Material

The anime is being directed by Fumio Yoshimura at Tezuka Productions. Takashi Aoshima is responsible for the series composition, while Daisuke Okushima handles character designs, and Shun Narita composes the music. These individuals comprise the core production team bringing the light novel series to the screen.

The original light novels, authored by Kazami Sawatari, began publication on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in June 2019. Shogakukan also publishes a print version in Japan under their Gagaga Bunko imprint, featuring illustrations by Achiki. To date, 12 volumes of the print version have been released. An English-language version of the manga adaptation is published by Comikey, allowing international fans to engage with the story.
