The Ramparts of Ice Season 2 Previews Opening Theme in New Video

The official website for the anime adaptation of Kōcha Agasawa's manga, The Ramparts of Ice, has released a second promotional video for its upcoming second season. This new video offers a preview of the opening theme song, titled "Escort," performed by the four-piece band THE BEAT GARDEN.

The second season of The Ramparts of Ice is scheduled to premiere on October 1. It will air on Thursdays at 11:56 p.m. on TBS and 27 affiliated channels in Japan. Additionally, the new season will be available for streaming on Netflix, alongside other services within Japan.

Series Background

The manga tells the story of Koyuki Hikawa, a high school student who finds it difficult to connect with others, often creating emotional barriers. Despite her tendency to spend time alone, Minato Amemiya consistently tries to get closer to her. The narrative explores the complex relationships of these four individuals: Koyuki, Minato, the popular Miki, and the easygoing Yōta.

Mankyū is directing the anime at Studio KAI, with Yasuhiro Nakanishi in charge of the series scripts. Miki Ogino is responsible for character designs, and the music is composed by Kanade Sakuma and Natsumi Tabuchi. The first season of the anime premiered on April 2 on TBS and affiliated channels, and globally on Netflix on the same date.
