A new pre-premiere visual has been released for Black Clover Season 2. The anime is scheduled to premiere on October 3, 2026. The first episode of the new season is titled “War Begins,” and its synopsis and preview images are already available.

Crunchyroll will stream the second season of the anime. An early screening for North America was hosted by Crunchyroll earlier this month. The main trailer and theme song by the rock band WANIMA were previously revealed for the upcoming season.

Production Details

Ayataka Tanemura is confirmed to return as the director for the second season. The main staff includes Keiichiro Ochi for series composition, Itsuko Takeda for character design, and Kumiko Tokunaga for sub-character design. Studio Pierrot is handling the animation production. The opening song, titled “Kienai Riyuu” (The Reason That Won’t Disappear), is performed by WANIMA.

Manga Background

The Black Clover manga was originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2015 until August 2023, before transitioning to Jump GIGA. The manga entered its final arc in August 2022 and concluded on May 1 after eleven years. The manga is available in English on Viz Media’s website, MANGA Plus website, and the Shonen Jump mobile app.

The first anime adaptation, also by Studio Pierrot, consisted of 170 episodes and ran from 2017 to 2021. The movie Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King premiered on June 16 and is available for streaming on Netflix.
