The Black Clover Season 2 anime has unveiled its creditless opening and ending videos. This release follows the premiere of its first episode, titled "War Begins," which aired on October 3, 2026.

The opening sequence features the theme song "Kienai Riyuu" (The Reason That Won't Disappear) by the rock band WANIMA. Ayataka Tanemura is confirmed to return as the director for this second season, with Studio Pierrot handling the animation production. The main staff also includes Keiichiro Ochi for Series Composition, Itsuko Takeda for Character Design, and Kumiko Tokunaga for Sub-Character Design.

Background and Streaming

Prior to its official broadcast, Crunchyroll hosted an early screening for North American audiences. Crunchyroll will also stream the anime. The Black Clover manga, which concluded its serialization on May 1 after eleven years, was originally published in Weekly Shonen Jump before moving to Jump GIGA. It entered its final arc in August 2022. The manga is accessible on Viz Media's website, MANGA Plus website, and the Shonen Jump mobile app in English.

The first anime adaptation of Black Clover, also produced by Studio Pierrot, ran for 170 episodes from 2017 to 2021. Additionally, the film Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King premiered on June 16 and is available for streaming on Netflix.
