Black Clover Season 2, Episode 3 "The Door to Hell" Release Date Announced

The third episode of Black Clover season 2, officially titled "The Door to Hell," is scheduled to debut on Saturday, October 17, 2026. The episode will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll at 8:00 AM PT. This announcement comes as the anime continues its adaptation of the Spade Kingdom Raid arc, a significant storyline for the series.

The upcoming episode is expected to feature Jack the Ripper's confrontation with Dante Zogratis. Dante's formidable Gravity Magic and regenerative abilities have made him a challenging opponent, and Jack's Severing Magic, which adapts to what it cuts, will be tested in this encounter. The raid on the Spade Kingdom is intensifying, with the Magic Knights facing the devil-backed forces of the Dark Triad.

Ongoing Battles in the Spade Kingdom Raid

The Spade Kingdom Raid arc sees the Magic Knights engaged in multiple high-stakes battles. Episode 2 of the current season saw the Qliphoth tree accelerate and the arrival of two supreme devils, placing Vice-Captain Nacht Faust in a precarious situation. The stakes are rising for the Magic Knights as they contend with the Dark Triad and the powerful devils emerging from the underworld.

While some animation moments in Episode 2, particularly during Nacht and Dante's clash, were noted for stiffness, the upcoming fight between Jack and Dante presents Studio Pierrot with an opportunity to showcase dynamic action and fluid animation. Fans are anticipating how the studio will bring the intensity of these battles to life, especially as the series progresses through its more impactful moments. Asta's eventual return and the development of his Devil Union with Liebe are also highly anticipated, offering a potential shift in the balance of power against devil hosts like Dante.

What to Expect

Beyond Jack's fight, the Spade Kingdom Raid arc promises several other key matchups. Yuno and Langris are set to face Zenon, while Charlotte will contend with Vanica using her modified briar magic. Mereoleona is also engaged in battle, confronting a colossal Ancient Demon. These ongoing conflicts highlight the scale of the threat posed by the Dark Triad and the devils, pushing the Magic Knights to their limits.
