The highly anticipated second season of the anime series, "A Returner's Magic Should Be Special," is officially set to premiere on October 7. This announcement was accompanied by the release of a new trailer and a main key visual, offering fans a fresh look at the upcoming season.
Studio Arvo Animation is returning to animate the series, with Taishi Kawaguchi once again directing. The band FLOW, known for performing the first season's opening song "GET BACK," will also be back to provide the opening theme for Season 2, titled "Sorrow."

The main cast includes Takuma Terashima as Desir Herrman, Asami Seto as Azrest Kingscrown, Natsumi Fujiwara as Pram Schnaize, and Sayumi Suzushiro as Romaintica Elle.
"A Returner's Magic Should Be Special" is based on a web novel by So-nan Yu and Uk-jakga, which was serialized on KakaoPage from September 2016 to August 2019. A webtoon adaptation, illustrated by Wookjakga, began serialization on KakaoPage in May 2018. Yen Press has licensed the manga in English. The story follows Desir Herrman, who, after a failed attempt to save humanity from Shadow Realms, is sent back thirteen years to his school days, given a second chance to alter the future and save his loved ones.
