Following the broadcast of Episode 11, the anime series Though I Am an Inept Villainess has announced that a second cour is in production. Titled "The First Royal Outing" Arc, this new installment is scheduled to begin in January 2027. Fans will be able to stream the second cour on Crunchyroll, which will continue to host the series upon its premiere next year.

The announcement was accompanied by the release of a new main visual for the upcoming cour. Additionally, three new cast members have been revealed: Yuichi Nakamura will voice Keikou, Shunichi Toki will voice Keishou, and Chiaki Kobayashi will voice Unran. These additions expand the voice cast for the continuing story.

Background of the Series

The anime is based on the Though I Am an Inept Villainess novel series, which originated on Shosetsuka ni Naro in July 2020. A physical edition of the light novel, featuring illustrations by Kana Yuki, began publication in December 2020 and has released 12 volumes in Japan to date. A manga adaptation, with art by Ei Ohitsuji, also started in December 2020 and currently has 10 volumes released in Japan.

For English-speaking audiences, Seven Seas Entertainment publishes both the light novel and manga adaptations. The anime series is directed by Mitsue Yamazaki at studio Doga Kobo.
