The official website for *The Vermilion Mask* anime has confirmed that its second cour will broadcast in April 2027. This announcement follows the previously established plan for a split-cour release. The first cour of the series is scheduled to begin streaming on Crunchyroll starting October 10.
The anime adapts the manga created by Dr. Poro and Nabana Naba. The manga has been serialized in Shonengahosha’s *Young King Ours* magazine since February 2021 and currently has nine volumes released in Japan. The story centers on "The Mask," an object that grants power, leading to both possibilities and tragedies. The protagonist, Peru, a student of mask maker Gaston Roux, becomes controlled by the "Mask of the Warrior God," resulting in the unintentional deaths of his friends and master. Peru then vows to destroy all of Gaston's masks to prevent further tragedies.
