Fans of the popular web novel and manhwa, The Remarried Empress, have reason to celebrate as an anime series adaptation has been officially announced. The news broke during the Crunchyroll Showcase at New York Comic Con 2026, confirming that the animated series is currently in production. The anime will be directed by Tetsuya Yanagisawa, known for his work on titles such as I'm the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire! The animation production will be undertaken by studio TROYCA.

Alongside the production details, the main voice cast for four key characters has been unveiled. Yoko Hikasa, known for her role as Neely in Sentenced to Be a Hero, will voice Navier. Heinrey will be voiced by Ryohei Kimura, who played Ryota Kise in Kuroko's Basketball. Tomoaki Maeno, recognized as White Blood Cell in Cells at Work!, is cast as Sovieshu. Finally, Reina Ueda, who voices Mayu Nekoyashiki / Cure Lillian in Wonderful Precure!, will portray Rashta. Character visuals for these four roles were also released with the announcement. Additionally, the original creators of the webtoon have provided new illustrations to commemorate the anime adaptation.
