The official accounts for The Detective Is Already Dead anime have unveiled a new visual to celebrate the series' fifth anniversary. This announcement comes just over two weeks before the premiere of The Detective Is Already Dead Season 2. The visual highlights the five-year milestone since the characters Kimihiko and Siesta first appeared together on a case.
Season 2 Production Details
The upcoming second season, The Detective Is Already Dead Season 2, will see Manabu Kurihara return as director at studio ENGI. Deko Akao is handling the series composition, while Yosuke Ito is responsible for the character designs. The music for the new season is being composed by 40mP and Yuyu. The original light novels, which the anime adapts, were created by nigozyu (story) and Umibouzu (art).
The first season of The Detective Is Already Dead is currently available for streaming on Crunchyroll. The story follows Kimihiko, who, after an adventure with the detective Siesta, finds himself globe-trotting and solving crimes. However, Siesta's death leads to a new chapter where a year later, a new case reopens past events involving murder, conspiracy, and his deceased partner.
