The upcoming anime series, EAT-MAN The Over Order, has unveiled a new teaser visual. This visual was released on the series' official website and social media accounts. The new anime adaptation was initially announced in September. EAT-MAN The Over Order is directed by Shunji Oga at Studio Cab, with Satoshi Hirayama responsible for character designs. The series is based on the manga by Akihito Yoshitomi, which first appeared in MediaWorks' Dengeki Comic Gao! magazine. The original manga ran from January 1996 to July 2003, concluding with 19 volumes. A sequel, EAT-MAN: The Main Dish, was later serialized in Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine from May 2014 to June 2019, comprising six volumes.

Previous Adaptations

The EAT-MAN franchise has a history of anime adaptations. Two previous series, titled Eat-Man and Eat-Man '98, were animated by Studio Deen. Both earlier adaptations consisted of 12 episodes each and were broadcast on TV Tokyo in 1997 and 1998, respectively. Discotek Media released these previous EAT-MAN anime series on Blu-ray in 2018. The story centers on Bolt Crank, an "explorer" or mercenary who undertakes jobs aligned with his moral code.
