A new "horror visual" has been released for the upcoming Dark Gathering Season 2 anime. The visual highlights the Kubizuka Daimyojin Shrine, described as a "den of evil" and a central setting for the second season. This visual offers fans a glimpse into one of the significant locations that will be explored in the new episodes.

Dark Gathering Season 2 is slated to broadcast in Japan in 2027. The new season will adapt events from Volume 9 and onwards of the original manga. The first season of the anime is available for streaming on HIDIVE.

About the Series

The Dark Gathering anime is directed by Hiroshi Ikehata at animation studio OLM, with Shigeru Murakoshi handling series composition and Yuri Ichinose responsible for character designs. The story follows Keitaro Gentoga, a psychic who became a shut-in after a traumatic encounter with a spirit. He later takes a tutoring job for Yayoi Houzuki, a child prodigy and talented psychic medium.

The original Dark Gathering manga, created by Kenichi Kondo, has been serialized in Shueisha's Jump Square magazine since March 2019. To date, 20 volumes of the manga have been published. VIZ Media releases an English-language version of the series.
