E3 has always been one of the biggest events for the gaming industry and gamers. As a gamer, I wanted to watch the conferences live rather than VODs of them. The conferences always happen while I’m at work so I usually have it playing in the background at my desk. I did the same this year as well. To be honest, I feel like E3 keynotes have been going down in quality. Not sure if it’s the games, companies aren’t trying anymore, or it’s just getting stale. Either way, the purpose is a great time to see new games or new gameplay. For this post, I want to share a list of games that intrigued me during the conference.
Nothing, absolutely nothing. I didn’t care for any of the games shown for EA, even the new Star Wars game.
Cyberpunk 2077 – There was no gameplay so it’s hard to really tell how the game will work but the aesthetics of the game is amazing. The world looks cool and how the people are designed are intriguing. Having Keanu Reeves on board is a plus as well. I’ll want to see actual gameplay before I make a decision on whether I’m getting it or not.
Flight Simulator – I don’t want to play this game. I want Airforceproud95 to make videos of this game. That is all.
Ghostwire – The only reason why I’m interested is because there’s not much information. Lots of mystery in the trailer and I just want to see more.
Nothing I’m interested in either for this company.
Watch Dogs Legion – Ok the trailer and scripted gameplay was great. It showed the new mechanics of playing as different people in the game which isn’t like a lot of games out there. Usually, you play as one or two characters and their story. Here, the characters are just part of a bigger picture. Plus seeing the old lady kill people was pretty funny. I’m not sure if I will buy it at launch, but it will be something I’ll eventually play.
Final Fantasy VII Remake – Aside from the nostalgia aspect of this game, it looks AMAZING. If you were to imagine that this is a brand new game with no history, it looks like a well polished real time combat game. Now I know that a lot of people are upset that the game is no longer a turn base but personally, I like it more. This is a game I will definitely be buying.
Breath of the Wild Sequel – No title, no release date and still in production. Regardless, I’m still kind of excited for it!
Animal Crossing: New Horizons – I like Animal Crossing games but I wasn’t super hyped to get a new game like many other people. Either way, I wouldn’t mind to play it casually every now and then like I used to with the other games. Although, I don’t think I’ve ever paid off my debt.
Pokemon Sword and Shield – Now this was already announced during the Pokemon Direct but I’m just going to include it in here. They did announce that the Pokeball Plus can also be used for Sword and Shield which is great because I’d hate it if it was only used for Let’s Go Pokemon. Overall, I’m super excited for the next Pokemon game!
Anyways that’s pretty much it! Hope everyone found games and new features they’re excited for that was announced at E3. I’m super jealous of everyone that got a chance to go to the event and play some of these games before anyone else. Maybe one day….But that is it for me. I’ll see you all next time!
